The Stripology XL combines all of the features you love in the original Stripology ruler AND the Stripology Squared. This beauty combines the height of the Stripology Squared - so you can square up blocks up to 12 1/2" - with the width of the original Stripology so you can cut up to eight 2 1/2" strips or 14 1 1/2" strips without ever moving the tool, reducing your rotary cutting time by up to 75 percent. The 2 1/2" increments are marked with squares; the 1 1/2" increments are marked with stars - no math required! There are 60 and 45 degree lines, 1/4", 1/2" lines.

Non-slid grippers built into the ruler.
Ruler comes with step-by-step instructions.

Creative Grids Stripology XL Ruler

It sure makes " trueing " your quilt blocks and to exactly the same size as. All the remaining blocks will. Be identical in size and shape. My husband says that Elon Mosk operates Teslamthe same way.

Takes some “ getting used too”

Pitty the ruler does not come with some kind of protective cover. The slots are delicate and it is a big ruler and difficult to store somewhere when not in use.

You can not use every rotarycutter, some of the cutters prevent the blade going into the slots until the last piece of fabric, you are cutting 4 layers at a time, and so you end up with the last layer of fabric not cut if you are not careful.

The folding of the fabric takes some practice....I don’t find the ruler “ easy to use” you really will have to experiment with it in the beginning.

Because of all the different markings on the ruler you must use some kind of markers of your own.

It is very easy to get confused and cut in the wrong slot and end up with the wrong measurement so I use small sticker arrows where I need to cut the fabric.

Once you get used to all this it is a good ruler to use and it doesn’t slide while cutting.

Great ruler for cutting strips!

This surprised me by cutting my strips consistently without any elbows! It even cut flannel strips well. I haven’t investigated any other uses for it yet. My reason for not giving it a five star is the price. Very expensive! The only reason I purchased it was I had a gift card from my daughter however if you cut lots of strips for quilting it could be worth the money!

Love it!

It's nice to be able to cut strips without having to move my ruler! Also makes squaring up blocks a breeze. You do need to give enough room for your rotary to cut through the start and end

Stripology XL Ruler
